The American Farmers & Ranchers Women’s Cooperative has established a goal for AFR Members to donate 50,000 meals to hungry Oklahomans throughout 2015. As part of this initiative we have teamed up with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to help promote the Invest an Acre and the Plant A Row campaigns.

From May 1-June 30 AFR is encouraging our members to donate to the Invest an Acre or the Plant A Row campaign to help end hunger in Oklahoma.

Registration is now open for the 2015 AFR Women's Conference on August 5th, 2015. It will be followed by the Oklahoma Women in Ag Conference on August 6th-7th.

American Farmers & Ranchers sponsors college scholarships annually to young people who have been active participants in the Youth Program. College scholarships are given annually to assist participants financially with college and university expenses.

The senior session is now full. No additional applications will be accepted.

It's not camp...It's a whole lot more! This year’s Teen and Senior Leadership Summits will be held at Camp Big Cedars near Wanette in south-central Oklahoma. Summit focuses on leadership, teamwork and cooperative skills.

This contest is designed to recognize Oklahoma youth who have an interest in livestock, excel in showmanship skills and have knowledge of the livestock industry to include production, management, processing and end product utilization.

The contest stimulates excellence and a quest for knowledge that results in the development of leadership skills applicable to the livestock industry.

Competition will be limited to 4-H & FFA members exhibiting breeding and/or market beef, sheep, goat or swine at the 2015 Oklahoma Youth Expo and who are classified as high school juniors or seniors.

The 2015 American Farmers & Ranchers Mutual Insurance Company annual policyholder meeting and the Oklahoma Farmers Union State Convention is scheduled Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14, 2015, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 2501 Conference Drive, Norman, Okla.

Did you know one in six Oklahomans struggles with hunger?

The AFR Women’s Committee is determined to help fight hunger in 2015! We’ve teamed up with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to challenge the people of AFR to donate 50,000 meals this year.

The “Drive Away Hunger with AFR” campaign will kick off with a canned food drive January 19-30. 

A competition will be held for your local organization to compete for most meals donated. 

Each year, American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union Youth Programs capture the creativity of students across the state of Oklahoma with our annual poster contest. There’s always a remarkable response and each year the home office receives 6,000+ posters. All posters must be returned to your local AFR Insurance Agent or mailed to the address below NO LATER THAN JANUARY 1.

“Go, Gather, Grow” is the theme of the two-day 109th AFR Convention scheduled February 21-22, 2014 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center, 2501 Conference Drive in Norman.
